Unitree has set its public offering price at 150.8 yuan per share ahead of its listing on the Chinese mainland stock market, aiming to raise 6.1 billion yuan (approximately 1.2851 trillion won)2. The pricing gives the robotics company a valuation of approximately 61 billion yuan (around 12.8 trillion won). Share subscription is set to begin on August 10.
Chairman Wang Xingxing framed the listing as a milestone for the embodied intelligence sector during an online investor event held on the previous day. "The embodied intelligence (physical AI) industry is still in its initial development stage," Wang said, according to Chinese media outlets including China News Service and The Paper. He compared the current developmental stage of the humanoid robot industry to the early days of the personal computer industry, expressing confidence in the sector's growth potential1.
Wang noted that Unitree ranked first globally in humanoid robot shipments last year and described the upcoming listing as a new starting point for the company. The company is targeting factory and home service markets in the mid- to long term.
Unitree's IPO roadshow detailed the company's prospects in embodied intelligence. The listing follows Unitree's unveiling of the AS2-W wheel-legged quadruped robot in late July ctx.
ANALYSIS Wang's PC-era analogy positions Unitree's listing as an early-stage bet on a category he argues has not yet reached mainstream adoption, a framing aimed at investors willing to accept near-term uncertainty in exchange for long-term market expansion in physical AI.
