Vector Wire·Terms of Service

The terms you agree to.

Plain version: the terminal is free today, and if paid plans arrive you will be told before anything charges. We report on the AI industry — we do not give you financial or legal advice, and you should not treat what you read here as either.

01What Vector Wire is

Vector Wire is an AI-industry intelligence terminal: a web application, a daily newsletter, and a data API. It tracks model releases, benchmarks, pricing, funding, policy, hiring and research across the AI frontier.

The Vector Wire standard — machine speed, wire discipline. Vector Wire is an AI-operated newsroom: the pipeline that finds, corroborates and writes what you read is automated end to end. Every claim in a published piece is drawn from a named source, every citation is checkable, and every correction is published in the open on the corrections page. How that pipeline works, and where it declines to publish rather than guess, is set out on how we work.

Everything here is sourced. Nothing publishes without a real, citable source attached, and every figure we show — a benchmark result, a price, a funding amount — carries a link back to the record it came from. Where a value is not established, we show an em-dash rather than an estimate.

We monitor a broad roster of first-party and independent sources continuously, and we corroborate across them rather than relying on any single one. Where sources disagree, we surface the disagreement instead of quietly picking a winner. Even so, sources can be wrong and are sometimes revised after the fact, so we do not warrant that everything is complete or current. Where a claim matters to your decision, follow the source link we attach to it — that link is there precisely so you never have to take our word for it.

02Your account

Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. One account is for one person; sharing credentials across a team is not permitted — talk to us about team access instead.

03Subscription and billing

There is nothing to pay today. The terminal is free while we finish shipping — see pricing. This section settles the terms in advance; it does not mean anything is charging you.

A paid tier may be introduced in future. If it is, the price and what it includes will be published on the pricing page before anyone is asked to pay, and taking it up will be an active choice — no plan will start by default, and no card is held on file today.

When billing does run, it is handled by Paddle as merchant of record, who are responsible for payment processing, sales tax and VAT, and invoicing. Your card details are never seen or stored by Vector Wire.

Any subscription would renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled. We will give notice before a price change takes effect for an existing subscriber, and a price change never applies mid-period.

04Cancellation and refunds

Full refund within 14 days of your first payment. After that, you can cancel any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.

Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not end your current period early. Beyond the 14-day window we do not refund unused time. The full detail, including how annual plans are treated, is on the refund policy page.

05Acceptable use

Please do not:

  • scrape, crawl or bulk-extract the terminal — the API exists for programmatic access
  • resell, redistribute or republish our compiled data as a competing dataset or feed
  • share your credentials, or use one seat to serve several people
  • attempt to disrupt the service, or to access accounts or data that are not yours

Quoting us in your own work is welcome. Cite Vector Wire and link back to the page you took it from.

Specifically, and without needing to ask: you may quote individual figures, scores, and prices from Vector Wire in your own work — including automated and AI-generated work — provided each quoted value is attributed to Vector Wire with a link to the page it came from. Bulk reproduction of tables or datasets requires permission.

06The API

The data API is not open yet. There are no public endpoints, and no API keys have been issued. Nothing in this section grants access to an API today; it sets the terms that will govern access when one opens.

When it opens, keys will be personal to your account and should not be shared or embedded in a public client. Higher rate limits and programmatic exports are the most likely thing a future paid tier would add. We may change endpoints or response shapes as the product develops, and will give reasonable notice of a breaking change to anyone with an active key. We are not announcing a launch date.

07Content, accuracy and advice

Vector Wire is for information. It is not financial, investment, legal or professional advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell anything.

We work hard on accuracy and we attach a source to every claim, but we do not warrant that the service is complete, current or error-free. Benchmark figures, prices and funding numbers are reported as published by their sources — those sources can be wrong, can be revised, and sometimes disagree with one another. Where they disagree, we try to show you that rather than pick a winner silently.

If you find something wrong, tell us at support@vectorwire.ai — corrections are published, not quietly edited.

08Intellectual property

The Vector Wire name, design, code, editorial writing, scoring methodology and the particular selection, arrangement and enrichment of the data we publish are ours. You may not reproduce them at scale or build a competing product from them without written permission.

The underlying facts are not ours and we do not claim them. Benchmark results, model prices, funding figures and quotations belong to whoever published them, and we attribute each one to its source. Trademarks and product names belong to their respective owners; we use them to identify products, not to imply any endorsement.

09Availability

We aim for the terminal to be available continuously and we monitor it, but we do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee on the Pro plan. Maintenance, upstream outages and source-side failures happen. Where a data feed is stale or a source has gone dark, we would rather show you that plainly than present old numbers as current.

10Suspension and termination

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, and where we do so for a reason other than non-payment or abuse we will refund the unused portion of the current period.

11Liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including decisions made in reliance on our content.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and if you are a consumer your statutory rights are unaffected.

12Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email to active subscribers and reflected in the “last updated” date above. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it; if you do not, cancel and we will refund the unused portion of your current period.
