About Vector Wire

Vector Wire is a news and data terminal for the AI industry. It tracks frontier model launches, benchmarks, pricing, tools, research, policy and talent — and publishes an editorial wire on top of that data, around the clock.

How the data is produced

The platform ingests hundreds of primary sources daily: vendor model cards and system cards, independent benchmark boards, pricing pages, research feeds and news wires. Every published number carries its source, the harness it was measured under, and a verification tier — independent verification ranks above aggregator data, which ranks above a vendor's own claims. Where sources disagree, the disagreement is surfaced, not averaged away.

The honesty rules

• Nothing publishes without a real source attached.
• Missing data renders as missing — never estimated, never filled in.
• Rankings use declared, ratified benchmark baskets with public weights; benchmarks whose supply cannot keep pace with new launches are tracked but not ranked.
• Vendor self-reported scores are labeled as such and never outrank independent measurement of the same benchmark.

Coverage

Every frontier lab is covered at the same standard — US, Chinese and European vendors alike. Coverage gaps are treated as defects, not editorial choices.
