Mercado Libre announced on December 10, 2025, a commercial agreement with Agility Robotics to deploy the humanoid robot Digit in fulfillment operations, beginning at a facility in San Antonio, Texas, with planned expansion into Latin America1.
The deal marks Agility Robotics' continued push into commercial deployments for Digit, which the company describes as the first humanoid robot commercially deployed to do real work in industrial settings. Digit has moved over 100,000 totes in live commerce operations to date.
At the Texas facility, Digit will initially focus on tasks that support commerce fulfillment. The companies said they plan to explore additional use cases where AI-powered humanoids can augment logistics operations across Mercado Libre's warehouses in Latin America.
The collaboration also aims to address labor challenges. The partnership will target tasks described as difficult to recruit for — particularly those that are highly repetitive and physically taxing — with the goal of increasing ergonomic safety, reducing labor gaps, and increasing productivity. Mercado Libre framed the deployment as freeing employees to perform more value-added work.

The Mercado Libre agreement adds to a growing roster of commercial customers for Agility Robotics. Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada signed a Robots-as-a-Service agreement with Agility Robotics to deploy Digit across its manufacturing facilities, announced on February 19, 2026 ctx. Agility Robotics also announced on June 24, 2026, a definitive business combination agreement with Churchill Capital Corp XI, a SPAC deal valuing the humanoid robotics maker at a $2.5 billion pre-money equity valuation ctx.
