AgiBot delivered its 20,000th general-purpose embodied AI robot, the Expedition A3 Ultra, to Chimelong Group on September 24 at Chimelong Spaceship Park in Hengqin, Zhuhai4. The handoff coincided with the traveler-facing launch of a 300-plus robot deployment across the existing indoor park, covering performances, science education, guiding, retail, hotel service, and sports at more than 100 interaction points2,1.
The deployment's scope
The robot layer is an embodied-AI overlay inside Chimelong Spaceship Park, not a newly built facility. Seven core scenario categories are covered: entertainment and commercial performances, science education and study tours, tour guidance and shopping assistance, service and retail stations, intelligent tour companions, hotel services, and sports competitions. Guest-path scenes range from bus-stop greetings and light shows to animal-exhibit teaching, drink retail, and hotel lobby staffing. Units from AgiBot's full product lineup are on regular duty for guest interaction rather than a one-off demonstration.
Opening-day programming included what organizers called the world's largest human-robot joint opening dance, intended as a recurring act, and a robot aerial acrobatics show. An embodied-AI tourism joint research institute was also unveiled.
AgiBot said robots of the same models that ranked first in both gold medals and overall medal standings at the World Humanoid Robot Games are among those deployed.
Connectivity and commercial context
AgiBot, Chimelong Group, and China Mobile jointly unveiled what they describe as the world's first large-scale 5G-A embodied intelligence application for the tourism and culture sector. Built on 5G network slicing and edge computing architecture, the system provides low-latency connectivity and coordination for hundreds of robots, addressing multi-robot access and swarm control in a large venue.
The AgiBot-Chimelong partnership was signed on August 23 at the Hengqin site, with follow-on hotel and circus formats and a joint lab locked into the agreement. Chimelong Spaceship Park has received more than 10 million visitors since its original opening. AgiBot described itself as the world's largest embodied AI company by shipments and revenue.
The 20,000-unit delivery milestone positions the deployment against a global baseline of roughly 7,000 humanoid robots sold in 2025, many of which remained in labs rather than performing productive work[1]. UBTECH commenced production at a 10,000-unit-annual-capacity humanoid robot factory in Liuzhou, Guangxi, on September 12[3].
ANALYSIS The Chimelong deployment is among the first cases where a single venue absorbs hundreds of embodied AI units for continuous consumer-facing operation rather than controlled industrial or laboratory settings.
