Figure's BotQ factory has manufactured more than 1,000 Figure 03 humanoid robots, a production milestone the company marked with footage of newly built units walking out of the facility under their own power1.
Founder and CEO Brett Adcock posted a 19-second clip on X showing several white-and-black Figure 03 robots filing out of BotQ, crossing a painted pedestrian walkway on the company's campus2. Adcock described them as newly manufactured units but did not disclose how many were produced in the latest run or provide updated figures on production capacity or customer deliveries.
Production ramp and open questions
In an April production update, Figure said BotQ had delivered over 350 Figure 03s and accelerated from one robot per day to one per hour in under 120 days, a 24x throughput increase driven by the company's own manufacturing software running across more than 150 networked workstations. Figure has said BotQ's first-generation line can build up to 12,000 robots per year. ANALYSIS The 1,000-unit mark, reached months after the April update reported over 350 deliveries, suggests output has not sustained the one-per-hour pace the April figures implied; the latest video does not establish the current production rate.
Quality metrics have tracked alongside volume. End-of-line first-pass yield had passed 80% and was improving weekly as of the April update. The battery line was running at 99.3% yield with more than 500 packs shipped, and BotQ had built over 9,000 actuators. Every robot undergoes more than 80 functional tests before sign-off, including burn-in sessions of squats, shoulder presses, and jogging at thousands of repetitions to catch early failures.
Hardware and deployment scope
Figure 03 features fingertip tactile sensors that can detect forces as small as three grams, palm cameras in each hand, and wireless charging through inductive coils in its feet at up to 2 kilowatts. The robot stands 5 feet 8 inches, weighs 61 kg, and carries up to 20 kg. Its 2.3 kWh torso-mounted battery provides up to five hours of runtime at peak performance. A recent endurance test saw a Figure 03 complete nine days on a treadmill, covering 348 miles and logging 1.2 million steps.
Figure does not sell Figure 03 to the general public; the robots are available to business customers only. Adcock marked the 1,000th Figure 03 on July 23. The company has said BotQ robots go to in-house research, data collection, end-to-end housework, and commercial jobs. The latest video does not establish the current production rate or the number of robots operating outside Figure's own research and development programs.
ANALYSIS The 1,000-unit milestone and the stated 12,000-per-year line capacity place Figure among the few humanoid-robot makers with a dedicated, volume-oriented factory, alongside Tesla, which recently cleared its Fremont floor for Optimus production[3]. Figure's stated four-year target is 100,000 robots, a goal that would require sustained throughput well beyond the current line's rated capacity.
