Google Cloud announced general availability of several core capabilities within Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, expanding access to infrastructure designed to let enterprises build, secure, and govern AI agents at scale1.
The rollout spans six platform components. Agent Runtime can automate complex, multi-day reasoning tasks with agents capable of running continuously for up to seven days. Agent Memory Bank enables low-latency agent personalization using structured schemas to extract and maintain conversation context across sessions. Agent Identity is a native IAM type built on open standards that enforces least-privilege agent permissions. Agent Registry provides a single library for AI agents, servers, and connections across an organization. Agent Gateway serves as a central control point for securing and governing interactions across an agent ecosystem. Agent Evaluation continuously monitors and evaluates agent performance in production with online evaluation monitors. Agent Observability provides end-to-end visibility into agent reasoning, tool utilization, and execution performance through tracing and real-time dashboards.
Google Cloud also announced CodeMender, a managed code security agent designed to move organizations from passive scanning to automated code remediation and reduce zero-day risk.
Several enterprise customers are already deploying the platform. AT&T is leveraging Agent Memory Bank for long-term memory in its autonomous AI sales agents. Best Buy is using Agent Identity to address agent accountability, governance, and least-privilege access. WellSky partnered with Google Cloud to implement a centralized Agent Registry that enforces compliance policies and ensures only vetted agents reach production. Broadcom, Palo Alto Networks, and Ping Identity leverage Agent Gateway to govern their agents at scale. Commerzbank is actively evaluating Agent Registry and Agent Gateway. Liberty Global uses Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform to rapidly create and deploy specialized AI capabilities.
The announcement arrives as Google Cloud posts accelerating revenue growth. Google Cloud revenue jumped 82% year-over-year to $24.8 billion in the second quarter ctx, and the Gemini app is approaching one billion users ctx.
ANALYSIS The breadth of the GA release — covering runtime, memory, identity, governance, observability, and evaluation — signals that Google Cloud is packaging agent infrastructure as a full-stack enterprise offering rather than releasing individual point tools. The customer roster spanning telecommunications, retail, healthcare IT, financial services, and cybersecurity vendors indicates cross-industry deployment.
The CodeMender launch positions Google Cloud in the AI-driven code security space, where Microsoft recently introduced MAI-Cyber-1-Flash and its Perception security platform ctx.
The seven-day continuous runtime capability for Agent Runtime targets a specific enterprise pain point: multi-step workflows such as sales prospecting sequences, supply-chain compliance monitoring, and IT incident response that extend well beyond single-session interactions.
