Google opens Gemini 4 Argon to paid subscribers and API globally

Google rolls out Gemini 4 Argon globally via the Gemini API, the Gemini app for Pro subscribers, and AntiGravity for Ultra users.

Google has begun rolling out Gemini 4 Argon globally, making the model available through the Gemini API, the Gemini app for Google AI Pro subscribers and AI Mode, and through AntiGravity for Google AI Ultra users1,2.

The rollout follows Google's announcement of Gemini 4 Argon toward the end of last month, when the company positioned the model as the successor to Gemini 3.5 Pro and Gemini 3.8 Flash. Google said Argon competes with the industry's best.

Both Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra subscribers can now access Gemini 4 Argon through the Gemini app. Ultra users additionally get access via AntiGravity. Developers gain access through the Gemini API.

The global rollout comes the same day Vector Wire covered Google DeepMind's initial Gemini 4 Argon launch, which included claims that the model outperforms GPT-6 Astra, Claude Fable 5.1, and Claude Opus 5.5 across benchmarks in coding, cybersecurity, science, finance, and law[1]. That launch also arrived alongside Meta's first frontier models reaching the Artificial Analysis leaderboard, with Mark Zuckerberg claiming Meta had caught up at the frontier[3].

ANALYSIS Moving Gemini 4 Argon from announcement to global availability on the same day compresses the gap between launch and access that has historically separated Google's model debuts from competitor availability.
