Nvidia Corp. invested in four German startups on October 19 as part of its nearly $10 billion commitment to European AI infrastructure spanning companies, universities, and research institutions1,2.
The new portfolio companies are AI robotics firm Agile Robots, healthtech startup Avelios Medical, AI audio company Mirelo, and space-technology startup Reflex Aerospace. Deal sizes were not disclosed. Nvidia Corp. is already an investor in German startups n8n and Black Forest Labs.
The investments were announced at the Invest in Germany Summit in Berlin, where CEO Jensen Huang met with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. The German government signed a joint declaration of intent with Nvidia Corp. to advance AI models for industrial applications, and the two sides announced a joint venture focused on physical AI.
Merz urged German businesses, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises, to embrace AI and leverage their data. The discussion centered on how Germany can capitalize on AI through its established strengths in manufacturing and automotive.
Nvidia Corp. also announced deals with Siemens and Mercedes-Benz. Siemens entered a wider partnership with Nvidia Corp. to advance AI-driven autonomous factories. Nvidia Corp. is expanding its collaboration with the German federal government and its Industry 4.0 Platform to accelerate industrial AI adoption.
The German investments follow similar startup commitments Nvidia Corp. has recently made in France and the United Kingdom as Jensen Huang conducts a tour of European capitals that also included Sweden.
ANALYSIS The Berlin summit pairs direct startup capital with government-level industrial partnerships, positioning Nvidia Corp.'s European push as both a venture play and a policy alignment effort across manufacturing-heavy economies.
