XPeng centers humanoid robots, G9L SUV in global push at Paris Motor Show

XPeng will showcase its humanoid robot lineup and next-gen G9L AI flagship SUV at the 2026 Paris Motor Show as part of its global expansion strategy.

XPeng is placing its humanoid robots and the next-generation G9L SUV at the center of its global expansion strategy, with both set to appear at the 2026 Paris Motor Show1,2.

The company plans to showcase what it calls its "Physical AI Lineup" alongside the G9L, which XPeng describes as its next-gen AI flagship SUV. XPeng's broader technology portfolio, as listed on its corporate site, spans AI Cars, AI Robot, Flying Cars, and its Turing AI Chip.

The Paris appearance follows XPeng's activation on September 8 of what it described as the world's first automated production line for advanced general-purpose humanoid robots in Guangzhou, where the first completed IRON unit walked off the line under its own power[2]. The company said at the time that more than 80% of the line's core processes were automated[2].

XPeng's flying-car ambitions have also been advancing internationally. Aridge, the XPeng-backed advanced air mobility company formerly known as XPENG AeroHT, signed a cooperation agreement with the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah to establish a regulatory sandbox for flying car operations in the UAE[3].

ANALYSIS Bringing the IRON humanoid robot and the G9L to Paris positions XPeng to present itself as a multi-platform AI hardware company rather than a pure automaker, pairing a vehicle launch with a robotics demonstration at one of Europe's highest-profile automotive events.
