Deep Seek extends Harness with Creator Mode for custom plugins

Creator Mode generates custom plugins from natural-language prompts inside DeepSeek Harness.

Deep Seek has released a Creator Mode for DeepSeek Harness that lets users build custom plugins through natural-language prompts, expanding the platform's scope from coding agent to general-purpose tool-creation environment1,3.

The feature allows users to generate plugins for tasks such as 3D model rendering, video editing, poster design, and app-wide visual theming by entering a prompt and selecting the Creator Mode option2. Bloomberg characterized the release as a boost to Deep Seek's AI agent offering.

Deep Seek published a prompt collection illustrating seven demo plugins. Among them: a 3D gallery of landmarks including the Eiffel Tower, the Great Wall of China, and the Forbidden City; an interactive 3D visualization of Transformer internals; a pixelated interface reskin offering five visual styles; and a poster design workbench. The prompts are designed to be copied directly into DeepSeek Harness with Creator Mode selected, though Deep Seek noted that some plugins shown in its video were refined through multiple conversation rounds and may not be fully reproduced from a single prompt.

The release follows Deep Seek's open-sourcing of a Router-and-Worker coding agent built on the Harness runtime, which was released on October 31[3].

ANALYSIS Creator Mode shifts DeepSeek Harness from a developer-facing coding agent toward a broader plugin-creation platform, letting non-technical users generate interactive tools without writing code directly.
