L3Harris and Shield AI complete autonomous electronic warfare flight test

L3Harris Technologies and Shield AI announced on July 16, 2026, the completion of the first flight test of the Distributed Spectrum Collaboration and Operations (DiSCO) system integrated with Shield AI's Hivemind autonomy software¹. Conducted on an L3Harris Green Wolf unmanned aircraft, the test demonstrated UAS detecting, analyzing, and responding to electromagnetic threats without human intervention on a live range. Hivemind autonomously rerouted follow-on unmanned systems through a safe operating zone based on threat data from DiSCO, following a simulated test in February 2026. The flight featured the software-defined Deceptor electronic warfare payload deployed on multiple UAS.
