The PyTorch Foundation's OSPO Academic Outreach Working Group opened a call for academic open source projects to present at a Day 0 workshop preceding PyTorch Conference North America 20261. Eight selected projects will deliver five-minute lightning talks, then work directly with maintainers and ecosystem contributors on their repositories. Eligible projects must use PyTorch or another PyTorch Foundation hosted project and will be evaluated on academic relevance, ecosystem relevance, open source readiness, potential impact, team commitment, and cohort diversity. Submissions are due September 30, 2026, at midnight PT.
