Alibaba Cloud and Cambricon joined the PyTorch Foundation as Platinum members, and Ant Group joined as a Gold member, the foundation announced Sept. 8 at PyTorch Conference China 2026 in Shanghai1. Platinum membership grants each company a seat on the Governing Board and Technical Advisory Council. The three join alongside Huawei, described as a long-standing contributor to the PyTorch ecosystem. More than 250 organizations across China contribute to PyTorch Foundation projects including DeepSpeed, PyTorch, Ray, and vLLM.
