Agility Robotics locks Nvidia as sole Digit 5 compute supplier ahead of Nasdaq listing

Agility Robotics on October 22, 2026 named Nvidia Corp. the exclusive supplier of onboard compute for the general-availability version of Digit 5, its next-generation humanoid robot, standardizing the platform on Nvidia's IGX Thor modules1,2.

The deal makes IGX Thor the only onboard computer in Digit 5 as Agility prepares for broader commercial deployment in factories, warehouses and distribution centers. Early access to Digit 5 is expected to begin in the first half of 2027, with availability increasing over the following six to nine months.

"Bringing humanoid robots to commercial scale requires AI computing and safety to be engineered together," said Deepu Talla, Nvidia Corp.'s vice president of robotics and edge AI. Pras Velagapudi, Agility Robotics' chief technology officer, said the Nvidia modules would give Digit 5 "a common foundation" before wide deployment.

Safety pipeline through Halos

Alongside the compute deal, Agility Robotics is integrating parts of Nvidia Corp.'s Halos safety platform into the perception system Digit uses to detect people nearby. Nvidia's Halos inspection lab will evaluate Digit's safety software, AI components and cybersecurity protections before an outside body grants final certification.

ANALYSIS Coupling the compute and safety stacks under a single vendor simplifies the certification path, a persistent bottleneck for humanoid robots headed into manned industrial environments.

Orders, customers and the Nasdaq path

Agility Robotics holds more than $300 million in multi-year orders for Digit 5, subject to certain contractual milestones. The company has signed four new customers in the automotive, consumer goods and agriculture industries, and has signed a commercial agreement with AGCO, which plans to test Digit at its factory in Hesston, Kansas, sorting and stacking parts and placing storage totes starting in 2027. Digit is already operating with GXO, Schaeffler and Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada.

Agility Robotics is preparing to list on Nasdaq through a merger with blank-check company Churchill Capital Corp XI, with shares expected to trade under the ticker AGLT.

The Nvidia Corp. announcement was the fourth from Agility Robotics in four days. On October 21, the company said it would open a new 50,000-square-foot site in Pittsburgh, adding about 35,000 square feet to its existing space in the city.

ANALYSIS The exclusivity arrangement gives Nvidia Corp. another anchor customer in the humanoid-robot segment alongside LG, which plans to launch a humanoid running Nvidia software in 2027, and positions IGX Thor as a reference compute platform for the category.
