Alibaba Cloud Intelligence is contributing its MuleRun and WonderClip platforms to Malaysia's AI untuk Rakyat program, making them part of the initiative's inaugural suite of AI applications available to up to 100,000 young Malaysians1,2,3.
The program, run under the Ministry of Digital and implemented by MyDigital through the Rakyat Digital platform, targets Malaysians aged 18 to 30. Participants who complete and pass required learning modules can redeem three months of complimentary access to selected AI applications. Registration opened this week, according to ProductNation.
Alibaba Cloud Intelligence is among the program's initial technology providers. Its two tools address distinct use cases. WonderClip is a video creation platform that integrates Alibaba's HappyHorse, Wan, and Qwen models for image and video generation, covering tasks from script analysis and storyboard generation through video synthesis and post-production. MuleRun is an AI agent and workflow automation platform that lets users build, deploy, and manage agents through natural-language instructions, automating multi-step work such as research, data processing, content creation, and decision support.
Choong Hon Keat, General Manager of Malaysia at Alibaba Cloud Intelligence, said the initiative "has the potential to be a great equaliser by enabling young people from diverse backgrounds to create, innovate and participate more meaningfully in the digital economy". He added that the program could broaden access to AI technologies and give young Malaysians more opportunities to build practical skills.
Rakyat Digital, the delivery platform, is a national digital learning platform operated by MyDigital that provides free modules in digital literacy and AI awareness. MyDigital acts as a strategic change-management office under the Ministry of Digital and oversees implementation of the Malaysia Digital 2030 Action Plan.
Alibaba Cloud Intelligence's participation extends an existing footprint in Malaysia. The company established its first Malaysian data center more than a decade ago and has since expanded local infrastructure, talent programs, and industry partnerships.
ANALYSIS Placing MuleRun and WonderClip inside a government-backed youth program gives Alibaba Cloud Intelligence a distribution channel that ties tool adoption to structured learning, potentially building a user base among early-career professionals before they reach enterprise procurement roles. The contribution also follows a period of elevated AI-related spending and product releases by Alibaba Group Holding ctxctx.
