L3Harris Technologies has licensed Shield AI's Tracker Counter-Unmanned Aircraft System to equip its VAMPIRE platform, the companies announced September 1, 20261. The integration pairs Tracker C-UAS, which uses AI and computer vision to passively detect and track aerial threats in electro-optical/infrared video without radar or RF emissions, with VAMPIRE's precision-strike capability. Shield AI is making the software available for licensing across additional platforms. Since 2023, VAMPIRE systems have logged more than 350,000 operational hours and shot down hundreds of hostile drones in combat.
